What is Telehealth?
(Online Therapy)

Telehealth allows a client and therapist to have a therapy session via audio and video over the internet.  You can meet with your therapist from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone/mobile device (iOS or Android)—it’s completely up to you! Telehealth allows you to connect anywhere with secure and convenient appointments that save you time and hassle.

*Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) I have moved all of my individual in-person/office sessions to Telehealth sessions until the CDC lifts current restrictions or changes the guidelines. Please call the office for more details or to reschedule appointments.*

What does a typical session look like?

Telehealth sessions are a lot like in person individual sessions (see Individual Counseling for more on traditional therapy sessions). Here is how it differs; Tele-sessions involve not being in the same room/physical location together, we use computers/laptops/smart cell-phones as our medium for communication and headphones to increase privacy and clarity, clients might feel more comfortable in their chosen spaces, your therapist might ask you to look at videos & handouts/worksheets via a "share screen" feature, and you might be describing any written or created work to your therapist instead of just showing the therapist as you would in an in person session.
